MM-80 KRP is the first engineered semi rigid joint repair product we have ever offered. MM-80 KRP is designed for joint re-builds up to 4” wide. It comes in a kit form similar to our Armor Hard kits. The kit will include the A & B liquids as well as the appropriate amount of aggregate all in one pail. MM-80 KRP is also enhanced with Kevlar, infusing a little more “toughness” to the system. MM-80 KRP is a complimentary product to our existing Armor Hard system. When using the MM-80 KRP you do not need to re-honor the existing joint once repaired since it is a “semi rigid” product. This can help in application time and labor. Due to it’s quicker cure time, it is grindable in about 2 ½ hours @ 70F, thus allowing for “same day” prep, placement, and finishing.
We have been performing successful “sand modified MM-80” repairs for decades. This is our way of offering this system in a user friendly option. It also allows us to provide the engineered aggregate ensuring consistent repeatable results. The engineered aggregate in this system is the same aggregate currently in our Armor Hard kits. The color will come from the aggregate, same as Armor Hard kits. Dovetail Gray will be the primary stocked color.
